PAPER TRACES by AMIR BEY
Scissoring paper is a quick way I work some ideas out, similar to sketching. It seems I always return to the face; so many shapes, sizes, and feelings are possible through it, whether it's an image, a mask or just making a face at someone. Some of these pieces were installed at the Happening held at Lorenzo Pace's loft on May 9, 2008 -See the Billy Bang Trio video in this issue of THE NEW TIMES HOLLER! NOWSROOM
